So often, when I ask people how their date was, they’ll say “It went ok, but they have bad teeth.” So, needless to say, you don’t want to pursue something that was just “ok” …but the point is, is that teeth do play a major role in making a good first impression. Some people even see bad teeth as a deal breaker. Nothing can quite top a healthy smile!
I mean, who doesn’t want that Hollywood-looking smile?! Sparkly white teeth that are evenly spaced and straight. That sure beats teeth that are stained, crooked, or have gaps. And it should be pointed out, you shouldn’t just want nice, healthy teeth for dating purposes. You should want them for yourself too! Talk about a major confidence BOOSTER, right?!
Things you can consider to get the smile you desire:
Invisalign – the most non-invasive way to straighten your teeth.
Porcelain Veneers – veneers are thin, custom-constructed shells of material designed to cover dental imperfections. The perfect solution for hiding broken or chipped teeth, cover stains, and hide gaps between teeth.
Dental Implants – If you have lost teeth (or just want to get them replaced due to other reasons), you can get dental implants that look, feel, and function like real teeth.
Teeth Whitening – This one is self explanatory, but if you are embarrassed by the shade of your teeth, perk them up with teeth whitening!
Wisdom Teeth Removal – If you have yet to get these out, they may be causing decay in your mouth (contributing to stinky breath) and pushing against your other teeth, causing over-crowding. It can also be painful when 32 teeth try to fit in a mouth that is ideally only supposed to hold 28 teeth.
You may be thinking “Gosh, I don’t even have the money for this right now” … but in actuality, there is never going to be an ideal time. Many oral surgeons and dentists also have payment plans…and if you have dental insurance, you can investigate if they will cover a portion. You never know until you try! Just go in for a consultation. What have you got to lose, right?
